Overview
Several of InterEpoch's model lines are compliant with IEEE 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) standard.
Power-over-Ethernet begins with a CAT5 "Injector", such as the IWE500-INJ, that inserts a DC Voltage onto the CAT5 cable.
The benefit to supporting PoE is that it eliminates the need to run 110/220 VAC power to Wireless Access Points,
Wireless Bridges and other devices on a wired LAN allowing greater flexibility in the placement of AP's and other wireless network devices. |
