Designed for outdoor long-range bridging
IWE1700-Aa is a 802.11a/b/g outdoor AP/Bridge. It is designed with high output power up to a 300mW, b 630mW each. With die-cast weather proof housing and 100% IP68 certified, the IWE1700-Aa can work under all rough weather conditions. The dual a/b/g radios design enables it to be configured into bridgings through 5Ghz band and AP through 2.4Ghz for clients linking. So it’s an ideal solution for outdoor long-range AP/Bridging such as hotel, resort, campus, community and other publicarea. Price is more cost effective than ever before, dramatically lowering your infrastructure costs and increasing your return on investment.

Wireless AP & Bridge
IWE1700-Aa can be configured into AP mode or Bridge mode. Under AP mode it can be linked with any b/g or a/b/g wireless LAN client and provides anywhere, anytime wireless connectivity for mobile users. Under bridge mode it supports PtP (Point to Point)/ PtMP (Point-to-Multipoint) for distant locations. The standard WDS (Wireless Distribution System) technology provides up to 6 static point-to-point bridging links. The AP client Technology automatically establishes dynamic bridging inks with APs from any vendor. The AP client technology is very suitable for networks that needs link backup or point-to-multipoint bridging applications.

Secure authentication based on industry standard
The IWE1700-Aa can authenticate and authorize wireless users in organizations, enterprises, or public areas by the IEEE 802.1x standard. It communicates with a backend RADIUS (Remote Authentication User Dial In Service) server to see if a wireless user is allowed to access the wireless network. Windows XP has built-in support for IEEE 802.1x. WEP, WPA/WPA2-personal & enterprise, WDS& AP client security is also supported for better wireless security.

Client Isolation for all APs or one Gateway The high performance and stable In order to prevent hackers from attacking other users’ computers in hotspot area, IWE1700-Aa supports client isolation for all APs in the same subnet or one Gateway. So the data of users in hotspot will be more secured.

Wireless Bandwidth Control
IWE1700-Aa provides bandwidth control feature for WISP to control the max. bandwidth of each user. Therefore, WISP operators can offer different level of connection speed for different subscription fees.

Easy Installation and management
Through web-based browser of IWE1700-Aa, users can follow the step-by-step installation instructions to configure it quickly. In addition, it is easy for administrators to set up through web-based management or SNMP v1, v2, 802.1x and 802.1d MIBs. It is UPNP-enabled and supports remote firmware upgrades via TFTP or HTTP file-base upload.
