Designed for outdoor use
Due to its die-cast weatherproof housing, and 100% IP67 certified, the IWE1800-Ag can work under all rough weather conditions. Furthermore, support for IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE makes power line wiring unnecessary. The capability of remote management via SNMP and HTTP is provided to eliminate the cost of on site maintainance.

Enhanced great security
The IWE1800-Ag can authenticate and authorize wireless users in organizations, enterprises, or public areas by the IEEE 802.1x standard. It communicates with a backend RADIUS (Remote Authentication User Dial In Service) server to see if a wireless user is allowed to access the wireless network. Windows XP has built-in support for IEEE 802.1x. WEP and WPA, is also supported for better wireless security.

Wireless bridge
The IWE1800-Ag provides a highly reliable wireless point-to-point networking solution for distant locations. The standard WDS (Wireless Distribution System) technology provides up to 6 static point-to-point bringing links. The AP client technology automatically establishes dynamic bridging links with APs from any vendor. The AP client technology is very suitable for networks that needs link backup or point-to-multipoint bridging applications. For easy diagnostics, the Web-based Wireless Network Manager provides the WDS link quality indicator features to check signal quality based on a remote point-to-point testing mechanism.

Integrate panel antenna
The IWE1800-Ag integrates a 14dBi panel antenna inside the enclosure to provide output power up to 3W for outdoor long-range application.

Wireless access point
The high performance and stable interepoch IWE1800-Ag provides easy wireless access for mobile users in public areas. The IWE1800-Ag is fully compliant with any Wi-Fi certified wireless LAN client and provides anywhere, anytime wireless connectivity for mobile users who want to share files, send emails or access the Internet.

Easy installation and management
Through the neat Web based user interface of the IWE1800-Ag, the step-by-step installation instructions are easy to follow. And the network administrator can centrally manage the IWE1800-Ag via a Web browser or an SNMP MIB browser. for easy diagnostics, provides versatile and cost effective WLAN management functionality, including the ability to configure, control, monitor, update, report, diagnose and trouble shoot the WLAN via web browser.
